Zambesi Macpac

I brought my 70lt pack last night (20lt day pack, 50lt main pack).

Now I've just got to see how much I can cram into it :o)

It only ended up costing $380 which was great! $90 less than I thought.

Yellow Fever

Dr Appt 5.30pm
The Yellow Fever shot - it didn't even hurt going in & they make you sit & wait for half a hour to see if you're going to have any reaction. I had none so it's all good :o)

Comments

Ok, my friend Adam has added a new function to this page for me.

Basically, you see the little word that says "Comment" at the bottom of this post (entry)? Well you can just click on it to leave me a nice little note.

Please do not think that while I'm traveling that I don't want to hear form you BECAUSE I DO!!!! & if you can't be bothered emailing me, a little note here will suffice :o)

It's getting closer...

Two weeks of work left. Started packing up my apartment on the weekend & going through all the stuff I'm going to sell. Who would have thought I could fit so much in to my tiny little apartment!

Cleaned out mums garage yesterday & are getting all set for the garage sale next weekend.

This weeks going to be flat out between dentist appointments, doctors appointments, YHA travel seminar, organising the garage sale & generally trying to fit everything in...

Visas & stuff

Popped in to the travel agent yesterday & my working visa for the UK had come back. Have now sent off for the Kenya one & then I only have 3 more that I need to get before I leave the country.

I also booked in for my yellow fever shot next week. Still undecided about the Rabies shots... What the hell I'm already spending so much money, what's another $300...

Typhoid & Meningitis.

Dr Appt 4.30pm
The Meningitis shot stings going in but my right arm feels ok.
The Typhoid shot just feels like some one hit my arm with a 4 by 2. It's 10 x worse than the tetanus shot.

ed: had some sort of reaction to one of the shots, or maybe both... Felt sick, headachy & got the chills. It only lasted 5 or 6 hours & after a sleep I was fine :o)

First lot of Shots

Dr Appt 12pm
Hepatitis A & B shot - my arm feels little sore but no big deal
Tetanus & Diphtheria shot - feels like someone punched me in the arm & it's a bit sore.
Polio - it's taken orally, who would have known. Didn't taste to bad, just a sugary liquid.

Oz Trip

Just thought it'd be good to have a record of what I did on my Oz trip so I've just posted all the emails that I sent while I was away :o)
