Forgot to post this the other day... Opps!!!
I've got tonight off & honestly I can’t really be bothered writing now. I've had such a good afternoon. I finished work about 2.30/3pm then went for a wonder to the local supermarket (Tescos). Such a different lay out to what I'm used to. I decided to go looking some gluten free goodies but turns out I was looking in the wrong places. It just feels so good to be doing normal things again. Even things like drinking tap water & been able to flush toilet paper down the toilet. Anyway back to my afternoon, the kitchen wanted me to get some frilly salad stuff but I couldn't find it so I txt Simon & he said he was going to get a few things so picked me up & we went to PC world & got a wan card for my lap top 25pounds so now I can take my pc into work sit at a table & surf the net :o) I'm a happy girl. Then we went to sainsberries, another supermarket. I found rice milk & gluten free bread. Tonight for dinner I had vegetable soup with toast – first time I've eaten bread since I left home, it was soooo good! It cost a bit, 2.50 pounds but it was nice, not as dense as some others I've had. Tonight I've come back to where Simons & I've done some washing & watched a couple of DVD's its so nice to just curl up on the sofa & watch a couple of good Movies. It feels normal.
Ok, bit more about where I am & what I'm doing. I still haven't moved to where I'm going to be staying yet, will do on Thursday. Our hours have been sorted out which is great, I start work at 11.30am finish at 2.30/3pm start again at 4.30 finish about 11.30pm. It's not flat out all the time so its not to bad. We have Sunday off & I get Tuesday & Thursday nights off too. The owners & other staff are great & we have our locals which can be a lot of fun. I was a bit spun out yesterday though, with some guy chatting me u. I can do the whole flirt thing – no big deal, it's all part of the job but he was like, you caught my eye on Friday I was like oh yeah laughed it off etc, then I was putting some stock away & he saw my tattoo & was like what does it mean? I told him – happiness & he was like "yeah I think it does" – ICK! Then anyway I'm doing stuff, & he's like I think you're a perfect 10 & I'm like, I wouldn't go that far, laughed it off again. Then proceeded to avoid the top bar till he left…
Hanley reminds me a little bit of Hamilton, in New Zealand where I lived before I moved to Oz. Not sure why. I'm not minding the weather either. It’s a nice crisp cold, kinda wet most of the time though. Saturday night we stayed after work & had a few drinks & I got out my shisha pipe which was great. I've now taken to drinking cider – much cheaper than vodka :o) On my day off on Sunday I slept in a bit then went up to work & Simon told me about some markets so I went for a walk & ended up buying some tops, they were really cheap which was great! When I went up to the shopping centre yesterday I saw one of them for 15.99pounds, I got it for 6! Bit of a difference huh!
