I'M IN EGYPT!!!!!

I've very, very bloody excited to be here! I got here about 3 hours ago & are just trying to fill in some time. I knew there was a reason I hated staying in Hotels - you don't meet anyone! So I thought I'd come to the internet cafe cause travelers are usually in them by the hand full but alas - not this one. No big deal. I've got the pre-departure meeting for my middle east tour tomorrow night then we set off the next day.

The last few days have been pretty cool.

Wed 4/8 - My room mate Catherine, who's actually from Nairobi & has just split form her husband, said that she'd take me for a drink. We went to a bar that played some pretty cool music & I met a few of her friends which was great. After the bar we went to a club that played only Kenya music, it was fantastic!!! We had such a great night! I felt a tad self conscious though, I was the only white person in the first place we went to & 1 of 2 or 3 at the club, I felt like the white girl with no rhythm, hehehe. I was also proposed to 4 times which was interesting, one guy was like "I need a wife to help me with my business - I have 10 cars" & I'm like "that's cool but I don't want another husband!" :)

Thursday 5/8 - Did a bit of a tour of Nairobi for a hour or so & spoke to my mum. It was so nice to hear her voice! Got a tad homesick & wanted to have a cry but snapped out of it :) I didn't do much read a book then at 8pm Cathrine gave me a lift to the airport. My flight left at 12.42am.

Friday 6/8 - I'M IN EGYPT!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've only really just been driven through Cairo on the way to the city but I'm liking it already & oh, oh, oh... I saw the Nile river! Yeah, it doesn't take much to get me excited.

Well going to go get some food. My body is all funky cause I haven't slept & was pretty much traveling for 14hours including connecting flights etc.
