Highlights!

I really want to write a full on post cause the last few days have been fantastic but I don't have enough time... :( So here are the highlights :)Oh, & yep mum it was the Karnak temple & Tanya I fully recommend the whole travel thing! :o)

Ok! I went snorkling in the RED SEA!!!! It was just like being in a giant aquarium - absolutely bloody amazing! The place beginning with 'H' was Hurghada. Back to Luxor yesterday & after eating food at a local restaurant, Kate, Helen (our tour leader), Nick & I all went to an Irish Pub where you have a choice of Stella, Stella, or Stella Artois beer - I made them go & buy me a bottle of vodka & we proceeded to get very drunk....

Then as we were walking back to the hotel we ended up at an Egyptian wedding... basically a big street party where every one wanted to dance with me - it was heaps of fun. The only thing that wasn't fun was when we left a lot of young boys (teenagers) decided it'd be fun to play touch the blond white girl - everywhere! They got a good few slaps & elbows :) don't worry Mum, not dangerous - the others protected me. Then another boy that wasn't with the group was walking with us & I was telling him how pissed off I was that they touched me, then he copped a feel & ran off! Little bastard! Oh, & at one stage Helen picked up one of the boys that was touching me & dumpped him to the ground & I went up to him & was like - "Don't touch me!" & I had to stop myself from laughing 'cause he looked so terrified.

After that little turn of events we came back to the hotel but weren't 'that' tired so went up to the roof, where I thought it would be a good idea to go for a swim - all I can say is thank god for matching bras & undies! :) After my swim we were back in the lift & Nick & Kate were "Let's get more beer" - so I piled my clothes on over my wet underwear & we went to the jewelery shop, where Moses helped us out on the beer front & had some other pendants & things ready for me. It was a classic night!!!! :)

Today we went to the valley of the kings & queens. EXCELLENT! Oh, & to Hatshepsut temple which was really cool, too.

Gotta go get changed for dinner! Catching the train to Aswan tomorrow.
